Apple to Launch Mac Leasing and Upgrade Program on July 28

Initially, only customers in the United States will have access to the Apple Upgrade subscription/lease option, available both in physical stores and online. Klarna will act as the financial broker for these leasing structures. It is currently unknown if the program will expand beyond the United States, but Apple likely plans to do so as it addresses legal challenges in overseas markets. The program will not be available for entry-level devices, excluding the Apple Watch SE, iPhone 16, and MacBook Neo, which are considered low-end in Apple’s product lineup. Business and education purchases will also be excluded. The program is primarily aimed at consumers who have been affected by recent price hikes and need an easier way to finance their hardware.
